Pet Library & Links

This website provides lots of information about a vast range of pet health topics including medical conditions, pet care, medications, behavior, nutrition, and first aid. It is managed by the same group that maintains one of the largest online information networks for veterinarians, and most of the authors are very well known and accomplished pet experts. The medical articles are written by veterinarians and are reviewed regularly to ensure up to date information.

This site is a great resource for all pet owners. The ASPCA Poison Control site has a wealth of information about potential toxins to your pets including plants, foods, and chemicals. Although this website is more directed to veterinarians, they do offer some resources for pet owners under the "Public" tab at the top of the page. They are also in the process of launching a new website for pet owners that contains lots of helpful pet information developed by local Texas veterinarians.

This is a very useful website for pet owners and veterinarians. They offer numerous resources under both the knowledge base tab and the practice management tab. They also have information on current issues in the animal health community and many valuable links.

This site offers completely free support to those who are going through the loss of a beloved pet. It offers information, counseling, and group support options moderated by professionally trained volunteer bereavement counselors. The group was founded by a Psychologist who, while grieving the loss of his own pet, wrote a book titled "The Loss of a Pet". This website also offers some valuable information about children who are experiencing the loss of a beloved family member.
