Dr. Michelle Brewer Withrow
Dr. Withrow grew up in Ponca City, OK where she raised several interesting pets including dogs, rabbits (domestic and cotton tail), turtles, chameleons, fish, pheasants, and sheep. She discovered her love of veterinary medicine while volunteering at a mixed animal practice when she was twelve, and she followed this interest throughout her undergraduate degree by volunteering at several veterinary clinics while pursuing her bachelor of science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Economics from Oklahoma State University. She went on to graduate with honors from the OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences in the top of her class while participating in numerous professional organizations and leadership activities. After Dr. Withrow and her husband completed their graduate degrees, they moved to Katy to pursue professional opportunities and raise their family. Since moving to Katy, she has enjoyed working with many local veterinarians from Texas A&M, Kansas State, and LSU while developing her medical and surgical skills. She maintains close personal and professional relationships with many of these local doctors.
Dr. Withrow and her husband Mathew have two children, Mason and Madison. They also have two furry children, Parker and Gundy. Parker is a Brittany Spaniel who is convinced he is a lap dog, and Gundy is an English Springer Spaniel that is an easy going side kick up for anything. Dr. Withrow enjoys exercising, target shooting, flower gardening, horseback riding, watching OSU sports and spending time with her family. She has a professional interest in soft tissue surgery, diabetes mellitus and pain management, and she is actively involved in the TVMA and AVMA. Dr. Withrow is excited to meet you and your pet.
Mathew grew up in Harrah, OK and was very involved with the FFA throughout his childhood raising several pets and show animals including dogs, pigs, and cattle. He also ran his own hay hauling company while in high school for which he earned his American Farmer Degree in FFA. His experience in FFA and his high school agricultural education instructors inspired him to pursue an undergraduate degree in agricultural education from Oklahoma State University. After receiving this degree he achieved certification in several other subjects in order to find a position in the area where his wife, Dr. Withrow, was finishing her education. This led him to a special education position which helped him discover another area of education that he had a passion for. He went on to receive a masters degree in educational leadership with an emphasis in special education from OSU. As mentioned above, Mathew and Michelle moved to Katy after receiving their graduate degrees to pursue professional opportunities and raise their family.
Mathew was a part of the Katy Independent School District as a special education teacher at Stan Stanley Elementary for several years, and is currently an Assistant Principal at Selman Elementary in Sealy. Their children, Mason and Madison, also attend school in Sealy. Mathew’s professional interests include communication, math, behavior modification, as well as personnel leadership and management. While maintaining his full time position with Sealy ISD, Mat functions as our office manager assisting in a number of activities around the clinic. Mathew has always had a passion for animals, people, and business and is looking forward to the opportunity to meet you and your pet.
